Common questions with uncommonly good answers
For shoppers
-
Catch us at 10-12 Balcombe Rd, Mentone. That’s a (500m) hot girl walk from the station on several bus routes. Get directions here.
-
Fun, friendly, and fashion-obsessed. Our stallholders come from far and wide to share their preloved wares with hundreds of eager shoppers every weekend.
-

But, if you have any concerns or questions ahead of your visit, please DM us, so we can make our market as comfortable and accessible for you.
-
Find us thrifting between 9am and 1pm, every Saturday and Sunday. Err, except during Victorian public holiday long weekends.
-
Yes, you’ll catch us thrifting between 9am and 1pm, but when’s the best time for you to arrive, specifically?
7am - 8am: If you’re an early birdie, and don't mind waiting in line with a hot coffee, you'll be one of the first to be let in with your pick of our stallholder's best items. We welcome shoppers inside at 9am.
10:30am - 11:30am: For those with well-worn snooze buttons, enjoy the sleep-in and take your time hunting through all the racks with a less chaotic crowd.
12pm - 1pm: Bargain baddies, unite. This is your time to snap up the best deals of the day as stallholders tend to reduce their prices during their final hour.
-
Bring your bestie, a tote, and $2 for entry. Also, bring cash ‘cause there’s no ATM in the warehouse. Oh, and don’t forget your KeepCup. We have a cute coffee window on-site.
-
A $2 entry fee helps us maintain the vibes, quality clothes racks, and things like free tampons in the toilets.
-
CAN YOU?! Omg, we love puppy cuddles and if you’d like to bring yours along, just make sure they’re toilet trained and well-behaved.
-
See something you LOVE? Get it settled and all paid up with the individual stallholder before moving onto the next.
-
Peep your future look in our on-site change rooms. Always, always ask the stallholder before trying on that cute new ‘fit, and plz, don’t use the toilets as change rooms. Plz.
-
Read my perfectly glossed lips. Coffee. On. Site. Quench that thrifting thirst at our coffee window, outside the front of our warehouse. Catch @10balcombe, serving delicious @st_ali coffee – and the occasional snaccy too!
-
Whether you’re a driver or a passenger princess (beep, beep), please know that there’s limited street parking available on weekends.
-
Step into our big purple warehouse and you’ll find preloved, vintage, thrifted or gifted (did someone say NWT?!) clothing, shoes and accessories.
-
We strive to cater to all bodies, sizes and fits by welcoming stallholders with the same values. So that our shoppers get a good mix, we never assume a seller’s size and actively seek to include a range of vendors in our accepted applications. So ultimately, this depends on who wants to sell with us. Want to hunt through a certain influencer’s wardrobe? Name drop them by emailing hello@huntermarkets.com.au
-
Unfortunately, no. Based on the nature of the market, all sales are final. Choose wisely and make sure to chat with the individual stallholder about the item you’re interested in before finalising payment.
-
Slide on over to our Work with us page for collabs, partnerships, promo and PR opportunities.
For stallholders
-
All you need to do is peep the info on our SELL WITH US page and complete the application form.
Then, if your application is approved, you’ll get an email with calendar booking details, T&C’s and a link to pay for your stall.
Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to reply to unapproved applications just yet. We’re working on it.
-
We charge a non-refundable stall hire fee of $180, which means no last-minute bailing, yeah? It also means you get to keep every dollar you make on your market day.
-
Each stall is assigned two racks and each rack holds approx. 80 items (hanging). We recommend bringing at least 50 items to give your customers a good trawling experience.
-
Nope, once you’re in, you’re in. If you’ve been approved before, you can continue to use the same booking link to lock-in future stalls!
-
We haven’t ghosted you, promise. Well, not intentionally.
If you haven't heard back from us within 7 business days after submitting an application, it means your application has not been successful. And it also means that we do not have the resources to respond to unsuccessful applications.
But, don’t let this discourage you from applying in future. Trends come and go – it’s the nature of fashion, baby.
-
We welcome clothing, shoes and accessories in good thrifting condition. Think: preloved, vintage, thrifted or gifted (did someone say NWT?!). Bring items in amaze condition. A good rule is, if you wouldn’t lend it to your bestie, leave it at home, ty.
-
Respectfully, no.

The average Hunter Markets honey is between 12-30 y.o. Trendsetters and bargain lovers, they dig on-trend brands, y2k fashion, clubbing fits and crop tops in a range of sizes, fits, and genres. If it’s on their feed or FYP, it’s a winner.
-
Three words: coffee, shelter and sleep-ins. Okay, so that’s a lil more than three words, but what other market offers clothes racks all set up and ready to go? Hunter goes above and beyond to make stallholders feel safe and supported while slinging their ‘fits. Stuff like showcasing your wardrobe on our socials to draw in a crowd and give your clothes new homes. Our market starts at 9am, not unholy-o-clock, so you can rest-easy without the early morning trawling. Apply, book and prepay for your stall, then bring your stuff and get that bag. 🤑
-
Hunter Markets prides itself on being Melbourne’s leading preloved fashion hub – and we’re keen to keep it that way. We do this by screening applications to maintain the quality and vibe of our market. Not only does this process help us create a balance of stalls every weekend for our demographic, it means our shoppers get a memorable experience every time they visit.
-
We love supporting small business babes, but this is not a maker’s market. Please do not apply for a stall if you’re hoping to sell dead stock or items you make yourself.
-
Stallholders gain access to our warehouse at 7am, set up is between the early hours of 7am - 9am (dw the coffee is well and truly brewing by then)
